A bit about Peasant:
Ascending from the quaint and small town of Doylestown PA, Peasant has been playing and writing music for the better portion of his life. Outfitted in a simple acoustic guitar, awe-inspiring vocal style, and a personality of restrained confidence, Peasant can captivate and quiet even the most rambunctious audience with his simple yet deeply textured sound. The name “Peasant” represents the vivid perspective that Damien DeRose (Peasant’s winsome human alter-ego) uses to write his music; music that intertwines, both sonically andlyrically, with his own personal philosophies.
Peasant’s recent successes include the placement of his song
“Raise Today”, on FOX’s prime-time show BONES, a renowned Daytrotter Session, an exclusive video feature on Spin.com, a rave review in Magnet Magazine and studio sessions with WOXY and LaundroMatinnee (My Old Kentucky Blog). Peasant also has a recently released musicvideo for the album’s single, “We’re Good”. “On The Ground” (Paper Garden Records) will be available nation- wide on January 27, 2009 – distributed through Team Love and ADA.
